Welcome back. And that is too bad about the contest. ._. I was working on
something for it. How about having the same rules of :
1. You can submit both wallpapers and vectors
2. You can submit as many as you want
3. All work must feature vacation-themed artwork
as stated from the message sent out 14 weeks ago, but omitting the paragraph
part. Or instead of having the paragraph on the wallpaper, have it in the
wallpaper's description? Well, that's just an idea.
I'm talking about lolis as in the pornographic ones. If they aren't dressed
provocatively or doing anything sexually obscene like this,
I don't see any problem, since they are just there to be cute.
It should be illegal. It's disgusting. It's just a way for perverted old men to
look at children in sexual acts without getting in trouble because they aren't
"real kids." I think it's funny how worked up CNN is getting trying to
protect his right to look at little kids being forced into rape, sexually
mutilated, and perverse sexual positions. You're 17, you're not even old enough
to look at real porn. But you think it's ok to look at little kids? Drawings or
not, it is still sickening.
Anyways, lolicon is already illegal in a lot of places, and though the US is not
a definite "yes," However, even a cartoon story can be prosecuted as
obscenity. If a Lolicon appears to show very young children engaged in sex acts,
I doubt you'd have much trouble getting a US jury to decide it to be
obscene.
Also,
"In February 2007, Senator John McCain
introduced S.519, which would add a mandatory 10-year prison sentence to anyone
who uses the Internet to violate the PROTECT Act."
Most mainstream music in Japan seems to be more rock/pop. Japan doesn't really
have the music I like...well there are a few bands...but at the end of the day
I'd go with American music because there is a larger selection of my genre and
the Japanese bands in the genre I listen to sing (scream) in English anyways.
Questions like these are always difficult to discuss because there are people
with several different views, and will remain steadfast to their beliefs. I do
find it pretty frustrating when people jump to the conclusion "God made
it." So you know for sure, 100%, that a divine being exists and created
this universe? There is no way to be sure of that, therefore I can't see how
people can rely so heavily on religion over science. And I am not saying there
is a scientific explanation for the spark of the creation of the universe. I am
not a religious person, nor do I believe in god/gods. I also do not deny that
there could be god/gods though. I don't even know why I am posting something in
a religious thread because anything to do with religion there are people that
bring God into the picture. Anyways, getting to the question, I don't see how
people can so quickly jump to the conclusion that "God made the
universe." Until there is feasible proof of divine presence, I think as
humans, should do as much research as possible to find answers to many
unanswered questions. Because if there is such a thing as "heaven and
hell," we will find the answers to everything when we die. Or we will just
rot in the ground and be forgotten by everyone and never find out anything.
Either way, I don't really care. Life is a mystery, enjoy it while you can.
I hate every single character from every single series done by CLAMP. Their
drawing style pisses me off. With the extremely long, skinny limbs and necks.
They are like giraffe people. Words cannot express how much I HATE CLAMP.
How can you read anything? There is some sort of translucent layer over your
page or something. I tried looking at it on both mine and my sister's computer
using Firefox and Safari, but it's still the same. It's weird because in your
preview in this thread, there is no translucent layer. Here are screenshots of
what your
page 1, your page 2
looks like. Just wanted to point it out...
Edit: Oh I see now that in your screenshot you're using IE, I tried that out and
it works fine. I don't know why that is though... must be something to do with
some sort of coding...
Especially the second one. The poster in the center. I really want to wall
that... I'm desperate to find these pictures. If anyone has any info, I thank
you!
I have a question. I'm not sure if it is a bug, but none of my free downloads
ever get used and I have almost 1000 Credits. Everything is free (downloads and
enlarge). That's why I don't even bother enlarging because I can just full-view
and it doesn't cost me anything. And I definitely go over 5 downloads a day, so
I am wondering why neither my credits or free downloads get used up.
Does anyone know the artist to this picture? I was going to vector the
combination of this and another picture that went along with it. I did have the
other half...but I accidentally deleted it. And I have no idea who drew it or if
it is from a series or not. Any help would be GREAT! Thanks.
I have been having a hard time figuring something out. I've been watching Da Capo and I notice that Sakura-chan always
uses "Boku" to address herself. I know this is a masculine word so I
was wondering why she uses it all the time. I've never heard her use any of the
feminine forms of "I." I looked up online and the best reasons I could
find about why some females use "Boku" are: they are gay/lesbian and
want others to know that they are, or they were taught improperly when growing
up. I'm not sure if either of those apply for Sakura-chan because she is hetero
(obviously) and I think she was taught Japanese properly. But then again, she
moved away for 6 years to America...so I'm not sure. But even if that were the
case, I would think that someone would correct her or something.
Maybe there is a totally reasonable reason why she is using "Boku," I
don't know even though from what I've been taught in class is that only males
use "Boku." I know there have been a few other series as well that
I've heard a girl use "Boku" but I can't think of them off the top of
my head since I watch a lot...
But if anyone knows what's going on here, please share! It is bugging me so much
that I don't know why she is using "BOKU!"
Now that is impressive.. Really, I'm amazed at how good it looks from the
original little black and white image! Really I think everything is already
pretty much perfect. Like you mentioned though about the lineart, the only small
section that looks a little messy are the lines on the girl's hair that is
sticking out to the right. They kind of look penciled in. But other than that,
perfect!
Nice work on the background, it looks really nice. And although you got rid of
the white stuff, now there is a bunch of black stuff around the guy's nose. O.o
I don't know, I actually think it looks cool the way it is. The nice thing about
the open space on the top left is that it's a good spot for all your desktop
icons.
So many bands... But anything in the hardcore, metalcore, grindcore and some
death metal (only new stuff though).
Favorite at the moment would have to be:
- Bring Me The Horizon
- Mychildren Mybride
- xDeathStarx (straight edge hardcore is always great)
- xAFBx (Armed for Battle)
If anyone is into hardcore, PM me please so we can discuss some stuff...I
haven't seen anyone else here post any heavy music as their favorites...(well I
only checked page 1 and the last page xD )
I made this PSP wallpaper with a Vector I made. I'll be posting the fullsize
vector soon once I get some critiquing on it in the Sandbox Section (so please check that out if you can :P ) I'll put
up two versions: One with a bar where the PSP icons scroll across the screen and
one without the bar.
Actually..a third version too. This one has a little softer background.
I think this looks really cool. Especially the wings you redid. You did a great
job on those. The only thing that I think I would change is the text you used.
It is kind of difficult to read. The font itself is fine, but it looks kind of
blurry/noisy. And ever since I got into vectoring, I thought it has been a lot
of fun. If you have time, maybe you could even vector this wallpaper. I think
that would look so cool! But you must have put a lot of time into this, because
it still looks very nice. ^_^
That was a nice video, but it was for learing how to make line paths (which I
use currently use for my vectors). They give you nice consistant lines, which is
nice. But I need to learn how to do the shapes path (which most people use for
vectors because it gives those nice thick and thin lines).

Okay! I have finished the first draft of this vector! Please let me know what I
can improve. In particular with the hair and eyes (how to make eyes look more
realistic and shiny).
(And I'm sorry about the size, I had to resize it so many times in order for it
to fit on imageshack...it's only 45% of the original size)

I really hope the government takes a step up and enforces a stricter child pornography law, including sexual lolis.

Anything but Code Geass because I think it is overrated and every second you see a new Code Geass submission.
Like previous people mentioned, something summery would be nice.
I'm desperate for this next request! It is so hard to find good Jigoku Shoujo scans of posters. I am looking for the following two pictures:

PS. The other half has a guy with purple hair...
Oh yeah, I downloaded it from http://www.dokuganryu.com/ if that helps too...

Personally, I like the first version's colors better. There is also still a little white by the guy's nose. Other than that, it's pretty cool.

His And Her Circumstances is sort of old (1998 I think for the anime)... And I LOVED that series so much. I only wish that it was longer.
